Zion National Park in low light.

Some of you may think that wedding photography is my favorite photography... but its not.  Wedding photography incorporates so many different types of photography that my favorite type is often in there.

My absolute favorite type of photography is low light or night photography, long exposures, super small aperture, etc.  I love the detail and richness you get when you have your shutter open for a long time.  All of these photos had long exposures, and were either in the shadows of deep canyon walls or right at sunset.

I found a spring in the desert!  Hana, know what this plant is?  Some guy came by as I was photographing and ate a couple of the leaves.

As soon as my laundry is dry, I'm heading up to Bryce Canyon National Park.  Cross your fingers I can find a place to camp tonight!

  1. Hmm...Lisa and I think it's some sort of wort...like a butterwort or something, but it's hard to tell without a close-up.

Beautiful shots, Jen...these are just breathtaking. I am TOTALLY coming with you on your next outing!
